2025 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
Built tough and ready for anything, the 2025 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 keeps raising the bar for pickup trucks with its muscle and creature comforts. Chevy's flagship truck has earned its loyal following through decades of reliability and constant improvement. Whether you're hauling tools to work or loading up the family for a weekend away, this latest version handles it all.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2025 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 lineup includes nine trims: the WT, Custom, LT, RST, Custom Trail Boss, LTZ, LT Trail Boss, High Country, and ZR2. A bold black grille and 17-inch wheels are standard on the WT and Custom models. The LT adds chrome accents and high-intensity LED reflector headlamps, while the RST introduces body-colored trim and 20-inch wheels. A 2-inch factory lift and all-terrain tires enhance the Trail Boss variants' off-roading capabilities. LTZ and High Country trim levels feature premium styling elements, including power-folding mirrors and perimeter lighting. The ZR2 is ready to tackle challenging terrain with 33-inch Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT tires, off-road-specific dampers, and upgraded skid plates. Most trims offer the Multi-Flex tailgate. Two new paint colors are available for 2025: Cypress Gray and Riptide Blue Metallic.
Engine (Power)
The 2025 Silverado offers four solid engine options. A 2.7-liter TurboMax features in six trims, delivering 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. A 5.3-liter V-8 producing 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque is standard on LTZ and High Country, and a 6.2-liter V-8 with 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque is available on five trims. The 3.0-liter Duramax diesel pumping out 305 horsepower and 495 pound-feet of torque is standard on the ZR2 and optional on six other trims. Rear-wheel-drive models use an eight-speed automatic transmission, while four-wheel-drive versions get a 10-speed automatic.
Performance
With the 6.2-liter V-8, the Silverado races from 0 to 60 mph in a remarkable 5.4 seconds — outclassing many sedans. Models with the 5.3-liter V-8 and diesel engines achieve this in 6.1 seconds and 7.1 seconds, respectively. The Silverado 1500 boasts a maximum towing capacity of 13,300 pounds with the diesel engine, 13,200 pounds with the 6.2-liter V-8, and 11,500 when equipped with the 5.3-liter V-8. Even the turbo-four handles 9,500 pounds. Payload tops out at 2,260 pounds.
The ZR2 takes on obstacles with its 31.8-degree approach angle. Depending on the trim, Chevy offers standard, high-capacity, and ZR2 suspension packages. A Z71 suspension with a 2-inch factory lift is available on select models.
Interior
The Silverado 1500 LT and higher feature a 13.4-inch Chevrolet Infotainment 3 Premium System with a Google built-in paired with a 12.3-inch driver information center. Wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and Wi-Fi compatibility are standard. The cabin's layout is intuitive, with all controls within easy reach.
Premium leather seats, natural open-pore wood trim, and heated/ventilated front seats bring luxury to the High Country. Advanced insulation ensures a quiet cabin atmosphere, even at highway speeds. The bed offers a generous 89.1 cubic feet of space and 12 tie-downs to secure your cargo.
Safety Features
Every truck includes Chevy Safety Assist, which incorporates automatic braking, front pedestrian braking, lane-keep assist, forward collision alert, following distance indicator, and IntelliBeam auto high beam headlights. Higher trims offer Super Cruise for hands-free highway driving on over 400,000 miles of compatible roads. An available eight-camera system provides 14 views — perfect for parking or trailer hookups. New for 2025, the ZR2 gets standard parking sensors, base models include cruise control, and the LT and above feature a standard trailer brake controller for confident towing.
